Description: 

This award celebrates outstanding contributions to the advancement of women professors, academic librarians, and other members of academic staff at Ontario universities.

It honours and recognizes the dedication of those whose leadership has helped improve the lives and working conditions of academic women and, by extension, their families, friends, and colleagues.

Eligibility Criteria:

Criteria: Member in good standing of an OCUFA – affiliated faculty association. A notable record of active involvement in issues affecting female academic staff in Ontario universities.
Distinguished achievement in contributing to the advancement of women in the academy, demonstrated over an extended period of time, or in a single project, either currently or in the past.

Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities: Leadership in Faculty Teaching Award (LIFT)

Description: 

The LIFT Award was developed to recognize and encourage teaching excellence at Ontario’s colleges and universities. This award has been given out to faculty who influence, motivate and inspire students and demonstrate leadership in teaching methods for the diverse student body in Ontario. Winners are receiving $20,000 over two years to encourage continued excellence in the classroom setting.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should be faculty members teaching fulltime in a publically funded Ontario college or university with at least 5 years of experience at the postsecondary level and currently be teaching at least one undergraduate course

Federation of Chinese Canadian Professionals Education Foundation Award of Merit

The FCCP Education Foundation Award of Merit was established in 1985. The Award has been given annually to distinguished Chinese Canadians with outstanding professional achievements.
