Description: 

The York University President’s Emerging Research Leadership Award recognizes fulltime faculty members within 10 years of their first academic appointment, who have had a notable impact on their field(s) and made a significant contribution to advancing the University’s international reputation for research excellence while significantly and positively contributing to one or more aspects of the York community’s intellectual life.
This honour demands outstanding emerging research achievement providing the promise of long term leadership in their field. At least five years of that research must have been completed while the nominee held a faculty appointment at York
.

Inclusive of all individuals with tenure-stream appointments at York who are between five and 10 years of their first academic appointment.

York University Faculty of Graduate Studies’ Teaching Award

Description: 

The Faculty of Graduate Studies’ Teaching Award is bestowed annually on a member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies who has displayed substantial, significant and sustained excellence, commitment and enthusiasm to the multifaceted aspects of teaching at the graduate level at York.
The award recognizes teaching and supervisory excellence. Other elements which are taken into consideration include scholarly, professional and teaching development and initiatives in graduate program and curriculum development.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be a member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
The nominator may be any member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, including regular or adjunct faculty, graduate students or staff.
